Plastic straws belong to the most throw-away plastic products not only in the Philippines but also in the whole world. As the whole planet struggles through a massive effect of pollution brought by plastics, the need to remove synthetic straws in the environment is now becoming a must.

There are recent incidents showing the harmful effects of these substances to the environment especially to the marine life. One of the turtle's nose opening was occupied by a foreign object and it was the straw. It can be seen that the animal struggles a lot in the process of removing the plastic straw.

Some national governments, corporations and even municipalities raise plans on banning plastic straws. It won't be a hard task to accomplish because instead of plastic straws, we can make use of glass and metal straws. Let's show the world that we are also environmental conscious citizens.
