In Australia, homophobes are everywhere, especially in schools. They need education, so I propose a plan to make sure they get it. My idea is that kids should be educated about the LGBTQIA+ community. This goes from Kindy to Year 10. in Kindergarten to Year 2, teaches will just introduce the topic, like reading books with gay couples in it and telling them that this is ok. From Year 3 to Year 6, the teaches will start to talk about the acronym, LGBTQIA+ and read and watch more appropriate books. In Year 7 and Year 8, students will take a mandatory class that teaches them about LGBTQ people and the community and teachers will explain it more thoroughly. In Year 9 and 10, It still will be a mandatory class, but the class will go into more detail, talking about AIDS and Trans surgery and mental health etc. So sig this petition if you agree with me that kid should be educated about the LGBTQIA+ community.
