The LGBTQ+ students at TKHS are laughed at, bullied, harassed, and excluded too much. There are teachers that refuse to use our non-binary, trans, etc students' preferred names. Other students see a transgender woman wearing a dress in the halls and laugh and stare. Other students think that anyone who wears arm sleeves as "emo" and depressed and say "wrist check" and "why don't you just go cut yourself". I myself do not feel safe knowing that the administration does little to nothing to combat the bullying and harassment, and if we fight back we get punished way more than the student who instigates and hurts us. We need to take a stand and get LGBTQ+ inclusivity and councelling for our LGBTQ+ youth.
