Students are already separated by COVID, and as students, we all mentally and emotionally understand and need support from each other. Two years ago, we all saw each other every day and almost got sick of it. Now in desperate times we need the support of each other and cutting off Webex access of student to student communication, you cut off all of our emotional support. What about the students' parents and families who can't afford their phones? Webex is the only access they have to all of their friends. What about the families who can't afford their child to have a therapist??? Their friends are the only way they can get their emotional issues out, and we need that as growing students. So, sign this petition in order for the students to have mental health support from each other in all of these desperate times. Mental heal issues have SIGNIFICANTLY increased since these sad depressing times. Students used to have the support of each other until LISD cut off the students' communication. We need each other as support. So, provide the students' support of each other, and not just the support of teachers, but the support of people who comfort them. So, sign this for the support of the mental health of all LISD students, not just the privileged.
