I lived near here and it was a treacherous stretch of road then. There are so many children and families in this area and using the park it must be made safer.

Agree with the petition whole heartedly. At the park entrance there should be a pedestrian crossing with a camera to capture any car that jumps the lights.

It’s a death trap that Lewisham council is ignoring!

Local road closures recently, will increase traffic on this road & it is the main entrance for a Secondary School with over 1000 boys using Monday to Friday am & pm. Action needs to be taken.

I have witnessed cars driving at incredible speeds along Mayo road. My child attends school in the area and we frequent the park. This road has to be made safe for people who live in the area

This is a dangerous road that we walk frequently as our schools and a park are close by, it needs to be made safer, especially now with the closure of Silverdale and Bishopsthorpe

It has added a greater congestion to Mayow Road, Dacres Rd and the High Street. Locals at the other end of the road (not rat runners) are adversely affected as they try to access their homes. Similar proposals that have been had consultation we’re all rejected. This proposal has also been put in place at the expense of a genuine proposal for improvements to the bridge over the railway to improve cycling and walking routes between Forest Hill and Sydenham and the two local secondary schools. This proposal only makes the access to Forest Hill boys worse and the approach to the main park entrances more dangerous. The lack of safe lighting and road surface conditions along Silverdale do nothing to encourage cycling or walking. The only cyclists using it already did so and hat hey are non local rat running commuters in Lycra!
