Plans to charge people to park in Beckenham Place Park are supposedly to encourage people to use alternate means.

The Car Park has been closed since covid 19 and the number of cars parked in local roads has sky rocketed. It's simply not reasonable to expect people to pay when they can park free clogging up local roads.

It's ruined previously quiet streets as well as being simply dangerous around southend road and braeside. Lewisham have put restrictions all over the place to shunt traffic and problems across the border.

They must make parking free to reduce the strain on the surrounding residents (of other boroughs who they don't apparently care about) and to enable people to access the park safely and freely. 

Further more the car parking in the park should be extended to reduce the dangerous/disruptive and inconsiderate parking practices in the surrounds.
