Make Cold Blow Lane tunnel safe for children

Cold Blow Lane tunnel in London SE14 is extremely dangerous for pedestrians. The pavement is very narrow and people are forced walk in single file, which is especially unsafe for young children. In two sections of the tunnel the pavement narrows down to just a kerb, but there is no safe place to cross the road at these places.
Many vehicles do not obey to the 20mph speed limit and there are no traffic calming measures in place to enforce it. In the most narrow part of the tunnel the road becomes a single lane and the footpath is less than a meter wide. At this point vehicles and pedestrians are just inches apart. This is without doubt the most dangerous part of the tunnel.
We urgently require Lewisham Council to carry out a safety review of the tunnel and to implement measures to make it safe for children who use it to get to one of 3 local schools. Which are Hatcham Temple Grove Primary School, Childeric Primary School and Deptford Green School.
