Support Lewisburg Area School Cafeteria and Frontline Workers

The impacts of COVID-19 had drastic impact on our Lewisburg Area School District. During the pandemic frontline workers at Lewisburg Area Schools, specifically our food service workers and cafeteria workers went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure our students had their most basic needs met. These food service workers made sure that all students were fed even those
that would have otherwise not received meals at home.
Recently the Lewisburg Area School Board refused to equalize Food Service and Cafeteria workers with other frontline workers at the school. The School Board has agreed to equalize other workers. Why have the food service workers not been included? This proposal rejected was for a one time increase of .31 cent for food service workers. The undersigned supports the school board reconsidering this proposal and respectfully requests that these employees are provided the
same wage equalizations of other district employees. We can not forget about our cafeteria workers.
