Our dress code is extremely outdated in Lake Park. Tank tops under a certain length is considered “inappropriate.” We are middle school and highschool girls we should not have to worry about how our clothes will be perceived. It is embarrassing when teachers call girls out in front of everybody about what they are wearing. When girls arr taught that they need to change because it is distracting to others they are going to feel they are the cause to other people’s actions. This code teaches girls that their body’s are distractions.Other schools around us have made changes to their dresscodes I think we should do the same.
