I do not want anyone to have to go though what this poor girl had to go through. I do not want this to be her story, what she has to be remembered by. She is strong and brave and deserves better.

When will those in authority see what a serious crime rape is? If colleges, universities and the courts don't take this crime seriously and prosecute the perpetrators responsible, then they and others like them will rape again.

I am not signing this position I am here only to state that I believe the survivor needs to take responsibility for her own actions. Yes, Mr. Turner deserve public sanctions and punishment for what he did. But no one seems to acknowledge that the victim was passed out drunk behind a dumpster in an alley when this happened. Turner had no right to do what he did but she gave him the perfect opportunity I hope she is going to Alcoholics Anonymous and getting her life together, if not you can be sure this or something similar will happen to her again.

I'm tired of guys thinking that it's ok to force themselves on women . There is no way an unconscious woman should be considered a willing participant

It is very important that victims of sexual assault are not continually victimized by the legal system and that they are empowered to tell their story without shame. Their experience is traumatic and life changing and the support and love of those closest to them know they didn't deserve this fate. Justice needs to be served.
