the health and safety of our students and staff should be the number one priority of our district. There are too many unknowns with this disease to return to schools while numbers are significantly increasing and there is a new strain.

If we don’t do this- we are not doing our jobs in protecting the engine of the district: our teachers and staff. They are already running on fumes, but they will continue to do so, but cannot if their dead.

Thank you for keeping our kids and community safe. Please continue remote learning, which a majority of our district families have opted for and don’t cave to the vocal minority asking to reopen buildings irresponsibly and dangerously before it is safe to do so. Thank you!

As a retired teacher of 204, as a Mom of an ER Doctor in Chicago, as a Mom and Grandmother, I agree 100% that returning to in-person in schools should follow the advice and guidelines of medicine and the public health department. This is for the protection of students, teachers, their families, and the health care workers and their families, too. Overwhelming the health care system would be wildly unfair, especially through this dark and dangerous winter.

Appreciate you following the CDC & State safety guidelines in keeping the safety of our kids, teachers, administration and greater community. I also appreciate all the extra effort that you have put into educating our kids at this time.
