On March 08, 2022, Senator Alex Padilla of California introduced Senate Bill S.3788, entitled Title I, II, III Housing for All Act of 2022. If S. 3788 bill passes, it would assist in reducing the current homelessness and housing crises.  S. 3788 would help Americans have the opportunity to have a home.

This bill would address the housing shortage in the country. For example, S. 3788 Title I would create a trust fund to support housing for the elderly and people with disabilities. It would create a home investment partnerships program and develop technical assistance for navigating Federal and State funding sources. Additionally, S.3788 Title II would assist in expanding the housing choice voucher program. Also, S.3788 Title II would help with project-based rental assistance, offers emergency solutions grant program, continuum of the care grant program, and GAO report on eviction data. 

Moreover, S.3788 Title III would provide innovative community-driven solutions. The bill would grant safe parking programs, hotels, motels, commercial acquisitions, and permanent housing conversions. It would also offer an eviction protection grant program.
