Let the St. Johns County School Board know that unfair zoning is not ok with our families.

The St. Johns County School Board wants to zone Twin Creeks families to the 10th closest school to them! It is literally two cities away and does not follow the district's own parameters for fair zoning. It is 40 minutes one way in a heavy traffic time (like school time) and could be 3+ extra hours in a car per day for families in Twin Creeks. Having children zoned to a school far away from home creates an unnecessary time and financial struggle on families, limits parental involvement in the school and poses a number of safety issues. No parent would chose this, but the St. Johns County School Board is willing to force this on a portion of St. Johns County homeowners, even though there is a solution that would keep all students in close proximity to their home without overcrowding and without changing anyone’s current school zoning. If you wouldn’t want St. John’s County School Board to zone your children far away when there are solutions that would be fair to all, please sign this petition to let the School Board know it is not ok to do this to families in St. Johns County.
