As of this year it has now been declared by the top brass of the forces that serving members of the forces (regular, territorial and cadets) can no longer wear the medals of deceased family members due to the amount of  Walter Mitties (dreamers/pretenders) turning out on parade with fake medals and incorrect uniforms or just being unattached to any branch of the armed forces! 

This in my and several other friends opinions is disrespectful to the hero’s that went before and were rewarded these medals for the bravery and service, some giving the ultimate sacrifice! 

These hero’s should be remembered and family members should be granted the ultimate honour of proudly wearing/displaying these medals on remembrance parades!
