As a parent of 2 children in school who is encouraged to book family holidays in the school holidays I am fed up of being ripped off by travel companies. Local authorities are now also clamping down if you ask for authorised absence it is refused and you will be hit with a fine if the child’s absence reaches a certain level. Travel companies and airlines need to be regulated so families can afford a holiday with their children. It is not fair that prices are inflated so much it could cost between £1000 and £2000 more for the same holiday in term time.  Recently the problem seems to be much worse so I am asking everyone to get behind this for a fairer pricing system.
