We believe in the promise of our country, that every citizen has the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  This petition asks that you assist in combating a major threat to that promise:  the Private Industrial Complex.

When former President Dwight Einsenhower warned that we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military–industrial complex, he was forewarning American citizenry about the looming dangers that are now a reality.

A failed economy, increasing national debt, decreased civility and a crumbling  democracy are products of what President Eisenhower established as the disastrous rise of misplaced power.

This petition calls on Congress to acknowledge that the  conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry has eroded free market enterprise and American democracy.

This petition reminds Congress of THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE to abolish or alter its constitution to ensure the continuing happiness and general welfare of the people.

To this end, we are request that Congress recognize that the weight of this Private Industrial and Military combination continues to endanger our liberties and democratic processes.  By doing so, we ask that Congress comply with OUR PEACEFUL METHODS AND GOALS (refer to the twelve point agenda) SO THAT SECURITY AND LIBERTY MAY PROSPER TOGETHER.

As a first step in this process, we are petitioning United States Park Service as well as Congress to allow free and fair trade fairs, markets festivals & retreats operate within the National Park Service in support of this cause.

The purpose of these markets are to stimulate the local economy by connecting visitors to local merchants, vendors, craftsmen and other local business.  By doing so, we look to encourage local industry by creating accessible marketplaces to buy, sell and trade American made products, goods and services.
