Joshua Jackson (JJ) Vallow and Tylee Ryan were murdered in Sept of 2019 and their remains were found on the property owned by Chad Daybell on June 9, 2020. Both the children's mother (Lori Daybell),and her then boyfriend (Chad Daybell) are awaiting trial for their murders. JJ was 7, and Tylee was 16 at the time of their deaths. 

Since June 9, 2020, the children's remains have been held by the state despite numerous requests from the victim's families to release the remains so they can be laid to rest. The state of Idaho claims that the remains are being held in case the defense teams want to do their own independent autopsy. This trial is scheduled for Jan of 2023 and for more than TWO years now of stalling and hearing after hearing, neither defense team has requested that an autopsy be done by their chosen examiner. They have never even submitted paperwork requesting an autopsy. At this point, there is no justifiable excuse to continue holding on to these children, and have had 28 months to conduct their own autopsies. Yet they prefer to hold the kids hostage. Never have I seen a case where the victims families are completely disregarded.

Kay and Larry Woodcock, the grandparents of JJ, have pleaded and pleaded for their remains to be released as they need to do this so their families can start their closure. The State of Idaho, Fremont County,  District Attorneys and Defense attorneys, do have a responsibility to the families and have chosen to ignore their ONLY request from them. It's inhumane at this time. 
PLEASE join Kay and Larry's request to the courts, in releasing the children's remain so that everyone can begin their closure. This is a high profile case and if the court can see that the world stands with Kay and Larry, maybe some compassion will surface with the judge, and order the release of the children back to loved ones.
