Johnny Nelson is a former World Champion boxer. He also won British and European titles and is regarded as a LEGEND of the sport.
He came from a working class background where money was tight. Because of this Johnny never forgot his roots. On retiring he was driven by wanting to PUT BACK into the community he’d come from .

In January, 2021 Johnny took up an ambassador’s role for SHEFFIELD HOSPITAL’S CHARITY. On starting the role he said, ‘I’m really proud to have been asked, and hope to help drive awareness and fundraising in the coming months.’

In 2017 Johnny joined MIND to fight for greater mental health awareness His role sees him working as an ambassador for the charity. On Day 1 Johnny said, ‘I’ve personally seen how mental health issues affect people. My work with prison inmates has shown how failure to resolve issues leads to young men making poor life choices.’
Johnny is also a supporter and ambassador of GLOVES UP KNIVES DOWN, a campaigning group established to raise awareness group about the increasing prevalence of knife crime in London.
Johnny is also a passionate supporter of PROSTATE CANCER UK. Speaking recently he said that Prostate cancer has had a devastating impact on his family with both his Dad & his brother battling the illness .
