Our drivers are more distracted than ever!  Students should not be expected to walk across Sunrise Highway to get to and from Massapequa High School.  Right now there's a fairly small section of our community that is less than the 1.5 mileage requirement as well as north of Sunrise Hwy - students in this area are not provided bus transportation to the main campus.  Help make this critical safety matter a top priority.  We should never prioritize cost over student safety.    

Let's work together with the New York State School Boards Association and the Department of Transportation to change this!  

Next Step:  Classify Sunrise Highway as a "Child Safety Zone."
