The Tauranga City Council have instigated a 4-month 'trial' which prohibits the majority of Links Ave residents from exiting/entering their own street at the Concorde Ave intersection.

This is grossly unfair to the said residents who cannot get to Bayfair, optometrists, audiologists, medical labs, etc, without negotiating two dangerous roundabouts on SH2 (Maunganui Road) or taking a 6km detour around the horrendously-busy Oceanbeach Road route.

In it's determination to make Links Ave 'safe for children', they have made it dangerous for the elderly and/or infirm. This is an example of the 'law of unintended consequences' in action.

All that is needed is for the Council to allow Links Ave residents to register their vehicle registrations with the authorities, allowing them to exit/enter the street at Concorde Ave - simple!
