Why this petition matters

I have a sibling who has struggled with mental health their entire life. school has always been a trigger. & MILLENNIUM HIGH SCHOOL has recently denied my sibling their ability to go to the school because their mental health was too much for the school to handle. MILLENNIUM staff also refused to follow IEP law & MILLENNIUMS school counselor very recently filed a restraining order against them when they were at their lowest point and impatient. MILLENNIUMS SRO officer served my sibling with restraining order papers in a psychiatric inpatient care facility leaving my sibling in an even lower place and worse state of mind. my sibling is unable to attend graduation because the counselor is unable to handle their emotions. as a counselor you need to be able to separate your personal emotions from your work like. my family is demanding my sibling the option to walk at graduation. as my sibling has been a straight a student and a varsity athlete all four years of high school and doesn’t deserve to have the right to walk taken from them because somebody cannot handle their own emotions. the restraining order was issued because the counselor stated the relationship was emotionally taxing. As a school counselor personal feelings need to be put aside as a counselors job is to listen to hard things all day every day. this is completely unacceptable and attack against my sibling and future mental health and trauma effected kids. PLEASE SHARE my siblings story & demand with us that my sibling has the option to walk at MILLENNIUM HIGH SCHOOLS GRADUATION!!!!
