Firearms are the second leading cause of death among children and teens in Michigan.

It has become an epidemic that schools across America have become targets of gun violence. We shouldn't have to worry about our children's safety when they are sin school learning. likewise our children shouldn't have to worry about their peers shooting or stabbing them while they are trying to learn. 

Any state bills that aim to regulate guns almost never receive a legislative hearing because Republicans, who control the state House and Senate, typically oppose the legislation.
