Do we WANT Mr Bergoglio, aka Pope Francis, in Ireland at our expense?
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
The Vatican, one of the wealthiest organisations on the planet, is demanding money from Irish businesses to bankroll the visit of its CEO, Jorge Mario Bergoglio, professional name Pope Francis, to Ireland later this year. Apparently this visit is to cost €20 million.
The Catholic Church has been responsible for some terrible atrocities here in Ireland, Magdalene laundries, mother & baby homes, industrial schools and abuse of children by priests. There have been few prosecutions of priests and none whatsoever of nuns in spite of the many deaths and illegal adoptions on record.
The Catholic Church protects its own at the expense of its victims. We demand that Mr Bergoglio step in to stop the protection of criminals, hand over the evidence of complaints to the authorities and authorise redress to the survivors of these crimes.
Until he does this, he is not welcome in Ireland. Please sign and share to everyone you can. Many thanks.
