Following the recent accident involving a child crossing Station Road after getting off a school bus, we the undersigned believe that a safe method of crossing this road is urgently needed.

The increase in traffic levels and the speed of traffic together with the topography of the road underline the need for crossing facilities.  At present there are no crossings along the whole length of Station Road / Station Lane. Therefore we call on Leicestershire County Council to install crossing facilities.
