GNG (Leics) Management given 7-day notice to dissolve the committee
Aug 26, 2016 — On Saturday 20th August 2016, we sent a Special Delivery letter (Royal Mail Track and Trace number AF450530316GB) to the Gurdwara committee, which was not signed for and as of today, Friday 26th August 2016, it is still waiting to be collected at the Royal Mail’s National Return Centre, as can be seen on the following Royal Mail Website: https://www.royalmail.com/business/track-your-item?parcel_tracking_number=AF450530316GB&op=Track+item&tnt_time_token=RjQFbGn80JSS3goSR4YKBQRMMHtkvvGMYbn4dayE%2Fs8%3D&parcel_consignment_number=&form_build_id=form-MeS7QXpVVu28SUO6m-Ccfy8rg6EoQX8c3vHKYj1cAXQ&form_id=track_and_trace_form
Yesterday, on 25th August 2016, the congregation sent a Special Delivery 7-DAY NOTICE BEFORE FURTHER ACTION to:
1. Guru Nanak Gurdwara (Leicester) Management Committee
2. Gurdwara President XXXXX at his home address
3. Committee member XXXXX at his business address
The President didn’t open the door, when delivery (KH413515045GB) was attempted this morning at 7:49am AND at 10:37am, hence that Special Delivery letter would also await collection at the Royal Mail’s National Return Centre, where it’s unlikely to be collected. Here’s the link: https://www.royalmail.com/business/track-your-item?parcel_tracking_number=KH413515045GB&op=Track+item&tnt_time_token=WXbluSe1d9AjiC4gUkErEzAtK2oKNFbWh5qH3o91pl0%3D&parcel_consignment_number=&form_build_id=form-nm2jkIpx-Z9vYNYE5oGv7w2WsIoIZg6dhFQ4uWKQj0U&form_id=track_and_trace_form
More significantly, Guru Nanak Gurdwara REFUSED to accept delivery (AF450530510GB). Here’s the link to the Royal Mail webpage confirming this: https://www.royalmail.com/business/track-your-item?parcel_tracking_number=af450530510gb&op=Track+item&tnt_time_token=5g9kg3kAV3Zeg%2ByQA7oDsk44zcx%2FYf%2BC0QzS9Ndcr5E%3D&parcel_consignment_number=&form_build_id=form-7k2qWVpJK8IPFk8hTiUk-2ZypvqwXhrz6nQXKYFNQEs&form_id=track_and_trace_form
Why would the committee not collect a Special Delivery letter, awaiting collection since 23rd August 2016?
Why would the committee or Gurdwara staff outright refuse to accept delivery of a Special Delivery letter today?
Are they thinking that the congregation will give up and go away, if they act in such pathetic ways?
Now, here’s the good news.
As we had anticipated that the Gurdwara committee and/or Gurdwara staff is capable of refusing receipt of delivery AND because we thought that the president is unlikely to open his door to sign for the letter, we had also sent a full copy of the letter to a committee member who owns a Post Office, in the vicinity of the Gurdwara. This person is the ‘Education Secretary’ of the Gurdwara.
This delivery was successful!
Here’s the proof that the Gurdwara committee has received the 7-DAY NOTICE BEFORE FURTHER ACTION. The Royal Mail tracking number is AF450530506GB and here’s the link to verify receipt:
The 23-page letter gives the committee 7-days to action ALL 4 demands stated in the letter, by Friday 1pm, 2nd September 2016. Non-compliance will result in the execution of the 3 serious and irreversible actions, as outlined in the letter.
Here is a copy of the letter:
“By 1pm, on Friday 2nd September 2016, the committee needs to place a notice on the Gurdwara’s main noticeboard, which clearly states the following 5 things:
1. President XXXXX has resigned from his post as president.
2. Councillor XXXXX has resigned from his position as a Local Councillor of the XXXXX and XXXXX ward, in XXXXX Town.
3. All management committee members have resigned and the committee has been dissolved.
4. Joginder Singh has been permanently banned from the Guru Nanak Gurdwara (Leicester), using the exact text provided in point 3 below.
5. Mr. Surinder Singh Malhi will be the next president of the Guru Nanak Gurdwara, for the next 5 years and there will be no election to determine this.
1. Mr. XXXXX must resign as President of Guru Nanak Gurdwara (Leicester); all committee members must resign and the committee must be dissolved.
Reasons for President XXXXX’s resignation and the dissolution of the committee:
President XXXXX and all committee members, except Mr. Malhi, are excluded from membership and/or cease to be members, under Article 3, Paragraph 8, iii, iv, and v, as their unacceptable, immoral, anti-social and anti-Sikh behaviour has violated the constitution of Guru Nanak Gurdwara (Leicester), as evidenced below in this point 1:
“Article 3, Paragraph 8:
A person will not be eligible or may be excluded from membership or shall cease to be a member for the following reasons: -
iii) If he/she is involved in any immoral or anti-social activities.
iv) If he/she is involved in any anti-Sikh activities.
v) If he/she acts in breach of the code of conduct of Sikhism and/or in breach of the Gurdwara’s rules and regulations”
a. President XXXXX and the committee members, except Mr. Malhi, have all sanctioned and supported racism on Gurdwara premises, over a 1.5-year period, by ignoring the congregation’s serious verbal complaints, the congregation’s Special Delivery letter posted on 4th April 2016, the congregation’s online petition started on 23rd April 2016, the YouTube video uploaded by the congregation on 2nd July 2016 and the congregation’s public statements, recently printed in local and national newspapers, which have reached 500,000+ readers in the UK.
Racism is immoral, anti-social, anti-Sikh and it breaches the code of conduct of Sikhism (Rehat Maryada), as it contradicts the core teachings of Sikhism. By ignoring the congregation’s serious complaints and by publically supporting and defending the racist Joginder, who has done beadbi of langar over the past 1.5-year period, President XXXXX and the committee members, except Mr. Malhi, should resign, be excluded from membership and/or cease to be members under Article 3, Paragraph 8, points iii, iv, v (considering this point 1a.)
You have ignored the congregation’s serious complaints about racism and beadbi of langar, over a 1.5-year period, why should you remain empowered?
You have proved that you don’t want to serve, or listen to the congregation, why should you be allowed to manage the Gurdwara?
b. You have defamed the Gurdwara by acting in anti-Sikh ways, by supporting the racist Joginder to date, by doing which, you have also contributed towards the beadbi of langar and you have sanctioned racism on Gurdwara premises, which is against the core teachings of Sikhism.
In truth, if you understood the basic principle of langar i.e. to serve all eligible temple visitors equally, including Sikhs and Non-Sikhs, you would have automatically removed Joginder from the kitchen a long time ago, as many committee members have also witnessed Joginder refusing food to eligible Non-Sikhs and/or disrespecting them, which is beadbi of langar, if you still don’t know.
As you don’t understand the purpose of langar and the core teachings of Sikhism, you have publically supported and defended the racist Joginder to date, whilst you have ignored, harassed, threatened, bullied and victimised congregation members, and physically assaulted committee member Mr. Surinder Malhi (Mr. Malhi), who have all spoken up against Joginder’s racism and beadbi of langar, which demonstrates that you have acted in anti-Sikh ways.
How can an anti-Sikh group of people be allowed to run and maintain a Sikh temple?
Whenever Joginder has refused langar to eligible Non-Sikhs and/or disrespected them, they would have left the Gurdwara hungry and/or feeling insulted, as a result of which, they’d have likely bad-mouthed/defamed the Gurdwara and the Sikh community in general. Consequently, Joginder has defamed the Gurdwara and Sikh community on a micro and local level, over the past 1.5 year period.
As the committee has publically supported the racist Joginder, by defending him in their public statement published in the ‘Des Pardes Weekly’ on 15th July 2016, and by ignoring the online petition and the video uploaded onto YouTube, as well as, the congregation’s recent newspaper statements, the committee has ALSO defamed the Gurdwara and the Sikh community in general, but, on a macro, national and international level, over the past 4-month period, as a global audience has viewed the online petition and YouTube video.
In fact, had you listened to the congregation by removing Joginder from the kitchen, after we had sent you the Special Delivery letter on 4th April 2016, we wouldn’t have started the online petition and neither would the video have been recorded, as Joginder wouldn’t have been working in the kitchen on 1st July 2016 to do the beadbi of langar; hence this matter would not have been made public, meaning the subsequent defamation of the Gurdwara and the Sikh community, would never have happened.
Don’t try to blame the congregation for the defamation of the Gurdwara, as your gross negligence in handling racism and anti-Sikh behaviour is fully responsible for all the damage that has been caused, which is why we want you out by 2nd September 2016, or face the serious and irreversible consequences.
No reasonable person is angry with XXXXX Singh for recording the video on 1st July 2016. People are angry with the racist Joginder for calling the sober White homeless woman a “dirty woman” and then telling her that he doesn’t respect her, which made her cry, at a Gurdwara of all places.
No reasonable person is angry with the congregation, for publishing a 3-page statement in the ‘Leicester Mercury’ on 6th August 2016, which sold circa 32,700 copies on that date. People are angry with you, the useless committee, for not (at least) removing Joginder from cooking and serving food in the langar hall, between 1st July 2016, when the video was filmed, and 6th August 2016, when the statement was published, which is over a 1-month period.
How could you ignore that video, in which Joginder lies twice, nervously switches the lights off, lowers shutters, before hiding in the kitchen storage room, like a coward?
You have angered and embarrassed the Sikh community in Leicester, across the UK and all over the world because of your incompetence and anti-Sikh behaviour as a committee.
Why should we allow you to further damage the reputation of our Gurdwara and the Sikh community in general, by waiting until the next Gurdwara elections, in July 2017?
That is not acceptable to us, hence you all need to resign within one week, otherwise, be prepared to face the serious and irreversible consequences, which will be executed within the limits of the law.
You have slandered the congregation by repeatedly stating that we’ve defamed the Gurdwara, by starting the online petition, by uploading the video onto YouTube and by publishing statements in newspapers. What are we supposed to do when you continue to ignore us over a 1.5-year period?
You are so stubborn and shameless, that you’ve continued to ignore us EVEN after we started the online petition, uploaded the YouTube video and published newspaper statements.
What is wrong with you people?
The global Sikh community is cursing you for your gross negligence in making an ‘easy to resolve’ matter, snowball into this embarrassing public issue, which over 500,000+ people are now aware of.
By the way, on page 1, of our 3-page statement published in the ‘Leicester Mercury’, we positively emphasised the fact that Sikhism is an inclusive religion and that racism has nothing to do with Sikhism, as Sikhs bow to the Guru Granth Sahib Ji, which includes the spiritual wisdom of many Non-Sikhs and because the institution of langar enables us to see and serve humanity as one, given that all eligible temple visitors (Sikhs and Non-Sikhs) are served without discrimination. How did the congregation defame Sikhs and Sikhism, by expressing these positive facts?
On page 3, of our 3-page statement published in the ‘Leicester Mercury’, we apologised to the Non-Sikhs to whom Joginder wrongly refused langar and/or disrespected. How did we defame Sikhs and Sikhism by doing this? Moreover, why hasn’t the committee publically apologised to such Non-Sikhs of Leicester?
If the congregation has to do everything for you, why are you running our Gurdwara? You are a hopeless group of people, who have joined the committee for the wrong reasons i.e. to boast about being in a Gurdwara committee, for the sake of inflating your egos in your family and friend circles. You haven’t joined the committee to serve Guru Sahib and the congregation, which is what you should be doing.
Considering this point 1b. President XXXXX and the committee members, except Mr. Malhi, should resign, be excluded from membership and/or cease to be members under Article 3, Paragraph 8, points iv and v, as they’ve contributed towards the beadbi of langar, which is an anti-Sikh activity and it breaches the code of conduct of Sikhism (Rehat Maryada).
c. President XXXXX is not worthy of being the Gurdwara president, as he lied to the congregation on 1st May 2016, in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
On that Sunday, committee member XXXXX had clearly stated, “We used to employ Joginder…” before he was abruptly cut-off by President XXXXX, who said, “XXXXX’s throat is not functioning correctly, we have never employed Joginder”, which was said in Panjabi as follows, “Ehda gallaa kharaab-a, aseen Joginder kadee vee nahi rakhiya”.
The main hall was particularly busy on that Sunday, as many parents had accompanied their children for an awards function, hence a significant number of congregation members witnessed this incident and they are willing to testify this, if required.
In truth, many congregation members have paid £20 cash-in-hand to Joginder, whenever he has performed the night shifts, during their Akhand Paath ceremonies, when he’d awaken the priests for their duties, over a two-night period.
Joginder has also been paid for his work as a langaria/cook during langar seva bookings; therefore we know that the management committee had employed him.
Why did the president lie to us, the people who’ve paid Joginder, on many occasions? Moreover, committee member Mr. Malhi has also witnessed committee members paying Joginder cash-in-hand for his work, which he is also willing to testify, if required.
President XXXXX is a dishonest and cunning man, who easily lies, without any fear of Guru Sahib. If he feared Guru Sahib, he would never have lied in his presence, or to Guru Sahib’s congregation, which is considered to be an image of the Guru (Guru Roop Sangat).
How can such a deceitful and crafty man be the leader of a Gurdwara, which is attended by thousands of Sikhs from the local community?
What kind of a role model is he? What kind of an influence does a devious president have on fellow committee members and on congregation members, if he openly and confidently lies on stage?
As an example, other committee members are likely to lie to get themselves out of tricky situations, thinking “our president lies to the congregation all the time, why can’t we?”
Considering this point 1c. President XXXXX lied to the congregation in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, which is immoral, anti-Sikh, in breach of the code of conduct of Sikhism (Rehat Maryada) and obviously in breach of the Gurdwara’s rules and regulations, as such rules would never permit a president to deceive congregation members, hence he should resign, be excluded from membership and/or cease to be a member under Article 3, Paragraph 8, point iii, iv and v. The fact that he lied in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji makes him a Guru Da Doshi. How can a Guru Da Doshi be a Gurdwara president?
d. You have harassed, threatened and victimised congregation members, and you have physically assaulted committee member Mr.
e. Malhi, for speaking up against racism and beadbi of langar, whilst you have fully supported and defended the racist and anti-Sikh Joginder to date.
If you don’t know the difference between right and wrong, good and bad, pro-Sikh behaviour and anti-Sikh behaviour, morality and immorality, social behaviour and anti-social behaviour, why should you be allowed to govern and control our Gurdwara?
On 3rd July 2016, President XXXXX and most of the committee members harassed and victimised congregation member XXXXX Singh, for exposing racism and the beadbi of langar at our Gurdwara, through the video footage that he filmed on 1st July 2016, which was uploaded onto YouTube, without engaging with the committee, because the committee had ignored our verbal complaints, letter and online petition, over a 1-year+ period by that time, hence we had no faith in the committee taking that video seriously.
We were right to conclude this, as the impotent committee, still hasn’t removed the racist Joginder from the kitchen, after that video has been viewed over 16,000 times to date, over the past 8-week period.
As reported to the Leicester Police, you allowed two non-committee members (Mr. XXXXX and Mr. XXXXX) to threaten XXXXX Singh with physical violence.
Unbelievably, the president and committee member XXXXX threatened to ban XXXXX Singh from the Gurdwara. How can you justify banning XXXXX Singh for simply filming a video, which proves that Joginder does beadbi of langar, whilst you refuse to ban Joginder for doing beadbi of langar, over a 1.5-year period? This is mind-boggling!
We accept that you don’t understand the basics of Sikhism, however, your illogical threat to ban XXXXX Singh, also proves that you are incapable of making informed, wise, reasonable and balanced decisions.
You’ve ignored the congregation’s verbal complaints, the letter, the online petition, the YouTube video and the recent newspaper statements, which collectively PROVES that you are completely hopeless, when it comes to listening to the congregation and decision-making.
If you know very little about the principle of langar and even less about the key teachings of Sikhism AND if you are incapable of making logical and reasonable decisions, why are you managing our Gurdwara?
On 20th July 2016, committee members XXXXX and XXXXX, deliberately attempted to start an altercation with congregation member XXXXX Singh, by slamming the door on his face, as he was about to enter the Gurdwara, which could have resulted in him falling down the concrete staircase, causing serious bodily harm, to him and his daughter, as reported to the Leicester Police on 21st July 2016.
The congregation was disgusted to learn that the shameless committee members could resort to such scheming and crafty tactics, in an attempt to ban XXXXX Singh, for openly raising his voice against beadbi of langar at our Gurdwara.
On 22nd July 2016 and on 19th August 2016, the same committee member XXXXX told XXXXX Kaur that she is banned from doing ‘Rehraas Sahib Paath’ because there is a surplus of priests, despite the fact that she had been doing this seva for a consecutive 27-month period, up until that point in time (22nd July 2016).
Evidently, you banned and victimised XXXXX Kaur because she is the wife of XXXXX Singh, whom you had earlier harassed for exposing racism and beadbi of langar at our Gurdwara.
Again, it’s astonishing that you have banned XXXXX Kaur from doing ‘Rehraas Sahib Paath’, despite the fact that you’ve never received any complaints against her, yet you still haven’t banned the racist Joginder for doing the beadbi of langar, even though he has an online petition against him, with over 370 supporters and there is a video footage that shows him lying and hiding like a coward.
Furthermore, if there is a genuine surplus of priests, why are other congregation members still allowed to do ‘Sukh Assan’ seva, ‘Bhog of Deg during Ardass’ seva, ‘Deg’ seva and ‘Shastar’ seva etc? Why is there ONLY a surplus of priests, when it comes to XXXXX Kaur doing ‘Rehraas Sahib Paath’ seva?
Committee member XXXXX should be ashamed of himself for stopping a baptised Sikh from doing seva at a Gurdwara. Clearly, like the dishonest president, he doesn’t fear Guru Sahib, otherwise he would never have bullied XXXXX Kaur in this way.
Furthermore, on 21st August 2016, five committee members harassed Mr. Malhi and committee member XXXXX physically assaulted him, as detailed in point 4c. below, simply because he has sided with the truth, Guru Sahib and the congregation.
Threatening, harassing, bullying, victimising, intimidating and physical assault are all classed as anti-social behaviours, as well as, anti-Sikh and immoral behaviours. In the case of physical assault, XXXXX has acted unlawfully and the Police will contact him shortly, as Mr. Malhi intends to press charges against him.
XXXXX Singh had already reported XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX and XXXXX to the Police, which can be evidenced via a Police incident number provided to the Charity Commission and XXXXX Singh confirms that XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX and 2 other committee members harassed him on 3rd July 2016, during a circa 1-hour meeting, as reported to the Leicester Police.
This point 1d. establishes that President XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX and XXXXX have all been involved in immoral, anti-social and anti-Sikh activities, which means that they should ALL resign, be excluded from membership and/or cease to be members under Article 3, Paragraph 8, point iii and iv.
f. On 15th July 2016, the committee publically lied in the ‘Des Pardes Weekly’ by issuing a weak and mostly irrelevant public statement, which we fully rebutted on the same day.
In your statement, you expressed that Joginder had refused food to the sober White woman because she had been “subject to prior warnings”, which is a lie, because when asked about why he refused to serve her, Joginder said “meat walla box-a lay firdi-a, kee kariye?”, meaning that he refused to serve her, because he claims that she was carrying a meat-containing box, which is an impossible proposition, as the transparent plastic box that he was referring to, was full to the brim with langar food, as seen at 1 minute and 10 seconds into the video footage.
How could a transparent plastic box have been a meat-containing box? Moreover, why didn’t Joginder say, “I refused to serve her because she has been subject to prior warnings”, as you falsely claimed in your public statement?
Joginder’s words recorded AT the time of the incident CONTRADICT your public statement, which means that you publically lied to the Sikh community, in order to defend the dishonest and racist Joginder’s beadbi of langar, which would be classed as anti-Sikh behaviour, on your part.
If you had bothered to watch the video, you may have saved yourselves from publically destroying your own credibility. The congregation has fully rebutted your spineless public statement, why haven’t you responded to our rebuttal, if you are in the right?
The president lied to the congregation in Guru Sahib’s presence to protect Joginder (point 1c. above) and the committee lied in the ‘Des Pardes Weekly’ to defend Joginder. Why should a bunch of shameless anti-Sikh liars be allowed to run and manage our Gurdwara?
Considering this point 1e. President XXXXX and the committee members, except Mr. Malhi, have publically lied to the Sikh community, in order to defend the racist and dishonest Joginder who has done the beadbi of langar over 1.5-years, which is immoral, anti-Sikh and in breach of the code of conduct of Sikhism (Rehat Maryada), hence they should resign, be excluded from membership and/or cease to be members under Article 3, Paragraph 8, points iii, iv and v.
g. In 2014, you contributed towards the beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop, as you knowingly employed an alcoholic priest named XXXXX Singh, who had been previously jailed for harassing his wife XXXXX Kaur. Here is an article published in the ‘Stoke Sentinel’ newspaper, which should refresh your memory: http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/drunken-fenton-father-s-day-harassment-campaign/story-19912410-detail/story.html
During his significant term as a priest at our Gurdwara, the alcoholic XXXXX Singh was caught drunk on Tabiya a number of times, during his Akhand Paath shifts, of which you were made aware, but, in the same way that you have ignored complaints against Joginder’s beadbi of langar, the president and committee ignored the congregation’s complaints against the alcoholic XXXXX’s beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop. In case you still don’t know, reciting Gurbani on Tabiya, under the influence of alcohol is classed as beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop.
Here is a Facebook page that was created by an unknown congregation member in 2014 about this issue, proving that the congregation addressed it at the time and that we’re not fabricating this now, as you are capable of claiming (The date of creation of the Facebook page is 30th November 2014): https://www.facebook.com/GNG-Leicester-Committee-Exposed-729047827187611/
On 7th November 2014, upon hearing about the anti-Sikh and anti-Rehat Maryada behavior of the alcoholic priest XXXXX Singh, the Panj Pyare wanted to question and discipline him accordingly, but the anti-Sikh President XXXXX intervened and rubbished the claims about XXXXX’s drinking problem and instead praised his good work, in the same way, that you referred to Joginder as “innocent” in your recent public statement, despite the fact that the “innocent” Joginder lies twice in that video, nervously switches off lights, lowers shutters and ultimately hides in the kitchen storage room! Over 16,000 people have seen how “innocent” Joginder is.
On 23rd November 2014, on the day of the Nagar Kirtan, the alcoholic priest XXXXX Singh was heavily drunk as he sat on Guru Sahib’s Paalki, for the entire duration of the Nagar Kirtan, at the end of which he was seen swearing at congregation members, who had confronted him about reeking of alcohol.
Later that evening, Whisky bottles and beer cans were found in the priest XXXXX Singh’s room on Gurdwara premises, after which the Police was called and he was evicted from the Gurdwara.
How reckless of the president and committee to have ignored serious complaints about XXXXX’s beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop in 2014, in addition to ignoring the complaints about Joginder’s beadbi of langar, over a 1.5-year period, to date?
Beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop and beadbi of langar are two serious Sikh offences, which you have taken very lightly, most likely because of your superficial understanding of Sikhism and Rehat Maryada, combined with the fact that many committee members openly admit to drinking alcohol themselves, hence people like the alcoholic and violent XXXXX Singh, seem like kindred souls to them. As an example, XXXXX openly admits to drinking alcohol and he is the one who partnered with XXXXX to start an argument/fight with XXXXX Singh on 20th July 2016.
XXXXX Singh was thrown out on 23rd November 2014 because the congregation made a big issue about him being drunk at the Nagar Kirtan, otherwise the president and committee would have continued to ‘praise his good work’ and support him, in the same way that you’ve supported the racist Guru Da Doshi Joginder to date.
You are not fit to call yourselves Sikhs, for dishonouring Guru Sahib’s Saroop and Guru Sahib’s langar, over the past 2-year period, as you have firmly established that you don’t care about the congregation, Rehat Maryada and the teachings of Sikhism. Atheists like you, will not be allowed to run and maintain our Gurdwara.
Considering this point 1f. President XXXXX and the committee members have knowingly employed an alcoholic priest, whilst ignoring the congregation’s complaints about his drinking problem. You allowed the alcoholic priest to recite Gurbani on Tabiya, which is against the code of conduct of Sikhism (Rehat Maryada), as well as, immoral and anti-Sikh, hence the president and committee members should resign, be excluded from membership and/or cease to be members under Article 3, Paragraph 8, point iii, iv and v.
h. If the beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop and beadbi of langar wasn’t enough, the committee has also facilitated the beadbi of the Gurdwara’s premises.
In the first week of May 2016, when Leicester City Football Club (LCFC) won the Premiership league, you fixed two blue LCFC flags on the main gate of the Gurdwara, of which a photo can be seen on our petition page, in case you have chosen to forget about this.
The Guru Ghar doesn’t belong to any of the committee members. The Guru Ghar belongs to Guru Sahib, where only a Kesari flag/Nishaan Sahib should be seen flying.
However, because of your ignorance of Sikhism and basic ‘Rehat Maryada’, you allowed the letters ‘LCFC’ to fly higher than Guru Nanak Sahib’s name on the Gurdwara’s main gate.
What kind of Sikhs are you? Undoubtedly, you are more interested in being LCFC supporters, than you are in being ‘Guru de Sikh’.
The congregation questions you:
“If you asked LCFC to place two Kesari flags on the main entrance of the King Power stadium, in celebration of Vaisakhi in April 2017, would they honour your request?”
No, they’d say something along the lines of “Its not procedural to do so”, in the SAME way that its not procedural for a Gurdwara to fix football flags on the main gate, above Guru Sahib’s name.
By the way, the congregation’s online petition was started on 23rd April 2016, about a week before you excitedly secured the blue LCFC flags onto the Gurdwara’s main gate.
This proves that you were more interested in celebrating the success of LCFC, than you were in stopping racism and beadbi of langar at the Gurdwara. This is not a trivial matter that we are blowing out of proportion, as Guru Sahib would never have allowed congregation members to fix such flags to a Guru Ghar, if Guru Sahib had been personally asked about this, a few hundred years ago.
More significantly, which Gurdwara committee would prioritise fixing football flags to the main gate, OVER solving a serious issue linked to racism that had just been made public, in the preceding week? The president had lost the plot doing Bhangra outside a football stadium, whilst we were trying to figure out how we could stop the beadbi of langar at our Gurdwara. How can you justify staying empowered as the president and the committee?
i. On, 7th May 2016, you organised the beadbi of langar (without Joginder’s intervention) by serving Guru ka langar to many drunken LCFC fans at the King Power Stadium.
On that day, 5000 samosas were purchased mostly with money from Guru Sahib’s Golak, as confirmed by committee members to the congregation at the time.
In the committee’s statement published in the ‘Des Pardes Weekly’ on 15th July 2016, you expressed that Guru ka langar is not for people who drink all day and then demand a free lunch, YET, on 7th May 2016, you hired a ‘XXXXX’ van, loaded it with about 5000 samosas from the Gurdwara, which would be classed as Guru ka langar, as most of them were purchased using the congregation’s donations from Guru Sahib’s Golak AND then you drove to the King Power Stadium, where you distributed langar to thousands of LCFC fans, who would have been drinking ALL day, in celebration of their team’s incredible victory.
Why did you drive all the way to the football stadium to give a free lunch (Guru ka langar) to mostly drunken LCFC fans, when you claim that Guru ka langar is not for people who drink all day, in your public statement published in the ‘Des Pardes Weekly’ on 15th July 2016? How hypocritical of you!
On that day, the shameless president was seen passionately dancing away to the beat of a Dhol, outside the King Power stadium in a short video clip, which many Leicester-based Sikh residents have seen, whilst the ‘samosa seva’ took place.
Which responsible Gurdwara president would dance like this, when the congregation of his Gurdwara, had started an embarrassing online petition about racism and anti-Sikh behaviour, a week earlier?
Where were the presidents of East Park Road Gurdwara, Oadby Gurdwara, Harrison Road Gurdwara, Clarendon Park Road Gurdwara, Ashford Road Gurdwara and Gipsy Lane Gurdwara? Why didn’t they dance outside the stadium and distribute Guru ka langar to the drunken football fans?
President XXXXX is a two-bit charlatan, who lies to the congregation in the presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, supports an alcoholic priest and defends a racist langaria, and he loves to dance with and feed langar to drunken football fans. This is his reality, as can be EVIDENCED, so please don’t try to worm your way out of this.
In truth, the president and committee don’t care one bit about needy, hungry and homeless Non-Sikhs, who are refused food and/or disrespected at our Gurdwara, otherwise they’d have removed Joginder from doing beadbi of langar by now.
They only care about landing up in the media/newspapers etc, for distributing free food to LCFC fans, even if doing so violates the code of conduct of Sikhism/maryada of langar, via serving people who are drunk.
In contrast, the congregation cares about serving the needy, hungry and homeless, who are eligible to have langar at our Gurdwara, as that is what our religion teaches us to do, which you obviously know nothing about and/or don’t care about, which is why we want you out, by 1pm on Friday 2nd September 2016.
Considering points 1g. and 1h., fixing football flags to the main gate of a Gurdwara and more seriously, distributing Guru ka langar to drunk/intoxicated people, is classed as beadbi of langar, which is in breach of the code of conduct of Sikhism (Rehat Maryada) and an anti-Sikh activity, hence President XXXXX and the committee members, except Mr. Malhi, should resign, be excluded from membership and/or cease to be members under Article 3, Paragraph 8, points iii, iv and v.
The anti-Sikh committee seems to be on a mission to destroy the reputation of the Gurdwara, Sikhs and Sikhism.
You have contributed towards the beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop, by supporting the alcoholic priest XXXXX Singh in 2014, which we can evidence.
You have contributed towards the beadbi of langar, by supporting the racist Joginder Singh over a 1.5-year period to date, which we can evidence.
You have done the beadbi of the Gurdwara premises, by fixing LCFC flags above Guru Nanak Sahib’s name in May 2016, for about a 1-week period, which we can evidence with photographs.
You have misused funds from Guru Sahib’s Golak (beadbi of Maya), by spending hundreds if not circa £1,000 on 5000 samosas, which were distributed to mostly drunken LCFC fans, on 7th May 2016, which we can evidence.
You have ignored, threatened, bullied, harassed and victimised congregation members, and you have physically assaulted committee member Mr. Malhi, who have all spoken up against racism, anti-Sikh behaviour and the beadbi of langar at our Gurdwara, which we can evidence.
What more is there left for you to do?
2. Mr. XXXXX must resign as Local Councillor for XXXXX and XXXXX ward in XXXXX Town.
Reasons for XXXXX’s resignation as a Local Councillor:
a. President XXXXX is a Local Councillor for the XXXXX and XXXXX ward, which houses many White, Black and Hindu residents. On one hand, Councillor XXXXX is duty-bound to serve the White, Black and Hindu residents in his locality, on the other hand, by ignoring the congregation’s letter, online petition, YouTube video and recent newspaper statements, he indirectly endorses racism at our Gurdwara by fully supporting and defending the racist Joginder, who has disrespected and refused langar to eligible White, Black and Hindu visitors at our Gurdwara, over the past 1.5-year period.
The ‘Councillors Code of Conduct’ requires Local Councillors to act with:
a. Selflessness b. Integrity c. Objectivity d. Accountability e. Openness
f. Honesty g. Leadership h. Respect for others i. A commitment to uphold the law.
If Councillor XXXXX has not acted in line with these principles as the president of our Sikh temple, over a prolonged 1.5-year period, how can he be expected to adhere to these principles, values and qualities as a Local Councillor? The congregation believes that President XXXXX is not qualified to be a Local Councillor, as has ruined the reputation of our Gurdwara and the good name of Sikhs in general, through his gross negligence in handling racism and ant-Sikh behaviour at our temple.
On 15th August 2016, we wrote to XXXXX Town Council and discussed the issue at our Gurdwara and requested that they terminate Councillor XXXXX’s position as a Local Councillor, or that he resigns from the same. On 19th August 2016, XXXXX Town Council responded sympathetically in writing, stating that they do not have the power to remove any Councillor, unless he/she “has been convicted in the United Kingdom of any offence…”
Their response doesn’t change our position and we are certain that most White, Black and Hindu residents of the XXXXX and XXXXX ward will be utterly disgusted to learn about Councillor XXXXX’s gross negligence and incompetence in handling racism and anti-Sikh behaviour at our Gurdwara.
As the XXXXX Town Council’s letter didn’t state whether they had discussed the matter with Councillor XXXXX, we have decided to give him a 7-day notice before action, via this letter.
If ALL 4 demands are not met by 1pm on Friday 2nd September 2016, we will execute the 3 actions, without ANY further notice, which includes distributing leaflets to the circa 5000+ electors in Councillor XXXXX’s ward. The leaflets will contain some of the text that featured in our letter to XXXXX Town Council, which can be viewed on our petition page, in the ‘Updates’ section.
3. Joginder Singh must be permanently banned from Guru Nanak Gurdwara (Leicester)
Reasons for permanently banning Joginder, although, this should be obvious by now:
a. Joginder has done the beadbi of langar by refusing food to eligible Non-Sikhs over a 1.5-year period, which is against Sikhism and the maryada of langar, hence he is a Guru Da Doshi.
b. Joginder has ignored the congregation’s repeat requests to change his ways over a 1.5-year period, meaning that he has consciously ignored sufficient opportunities to reform himself.
c. On 1st July 2016, he called a sober White homeless woman a “dirty woman” and told her that he doesn’t respect her, which made her cry, in front of many congregation members. He did this over 2 months after the complaint letter was sent and the online petition was started, meaning that he still had the audacity to act in such a way, being fully aware of the serious complaints and online petition against him. What does that say about his character and basic nature?
d. If drunks can be banned for life, why can’t the racist Guru Da Doshi Joginder, who has done all of the above, whilst being completely sober? Was 1.5-years not enough to reform himself?
e. By ignoring the congregation’s complaints over a 1.5-year period and by not changing his ways, Joginder has defamed the Gurdwara, Sikhs and Sikhism; hence he is as guilty as the committee, for bringing this matter into the public domain, in front of 500,000+ people.
The committee needs to place a copy of the following text on the notice board AND on 250 sheets of A4 paper, which are to be placed on Guru Sahib’s Golak by 1pm on Friday 2nd September 2016.
“Joginder Singh has been permanently banned from Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Holy Bones, Leicester, for repeatedly refusing food to eligible Non-Sikhs over a 1.5-year period, which is against the key teachings of Sikhism and the Maryada of Langar. As a result of his anti-Sikh behaviour, many eligible Non-Sikhs who were wrongly denied langar and/or disrespected by Joginder, would have likely defamed Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Sikhism and the Sikh community in general.
As the punishment should always fit the crime, Joginder is permanently banned for being a Guru Da Doshi. He is free to attend other Gurdwaras, but he is not welcome here, in the same way that a drunk/intoxicated person would not be welcome here, after repeatedly dishonouring Guru Sahib’s Maryada. This lifetime ban is irrevocable, as Joginder was given many opportunities over a 1.5-year period to reform himself, yet he chose to continue defaming the Gurdwara through his beadbi of langar”.
If you simply ban Joginder without placing the above text on the notice board AND without placing 250 A4 sheets on Guru Sahib’s Golak, we will proceed with executing all 3 actions as detailed below, EVEN if you meet ALL of the other 3 demands.
You evicted the alcoholic priest Harjinder Singh in 2014, albeit after you were ‘busted’ by the congregation and much later than you should have done. Likewise, you need to permanently ban the racist Joginder BEFORE you all resign, by the 2nd September 2016, otherwise prepare to face the grave consequences.
4. Mr. Surinder Singh Malhi must be appointed next President of Guru Nanak Gurdwara and his 5-year term will start immediately after the committees’ dissolution.
Reasons for appointing Mr. Surinder Malhi as the next President of Guru Nanak Gurdwara:
a. We do not trust any committee members, apart from Mr. Malhi, as they are all “Yes” men, who lack leadership qualities.
The anti-Sikh President XXXXX and his mindless “Yes” men, have destroyed our Gurdwara’s reputation and have harassed and victimised congregation members, hence we do not believe that any of these “Yes” men should be given the opportunity to run and maintain our Gurdwara, after President XXXXX resigns.
b. Moreover, we do not want a Gurdwara election to decide the next president and committee, as President XXXXX and his “Yes” men, collectively have a significant vote bank, consisting of family members, extended family members, friends and acquaintances, who hardly visit our Gurdwara over the 5 year period, before and after, elections take place.
In fact, President XXXXX’s ego and “karlo jo karna” attitude stems from his belief that “I or my “Yes” men will always win elections, because we collectively have the greater vote bank, in comparison to any opposition party that attempts to clash with us”.
This is what makes President XXXXX and his “Yes” men think that they are untouchable and invincible.
The congregation doesn’t need a greater vote bank than the pathetic President XXXXX and his mindless “Yes” men, as we have Guru Sahib’s support, which is greater than any support that they can gather.
There will be no election, as none of the existing committee members are qualified to lead our Gurdwara, and none of them have openly supported the congregation’s fight against racism and beadbi of langar, apart from Mr. Malhi.
Moreover, President XXXXX and the committee members, except Mr. Malhi, have been involved in immoral, anti-social, anti-Sikh activities and they have breached the code of conduct of Sikhism (Rehat Maryada), as detailed in point 1 of this document, because of which they are to be excluded from membership and they cease to be members ANYWAY.
How can these Guru de Doshi even think about standing in an election, after defaming the Gurdwara and acting in immoral and anti-Sikh ways? They are to be excluded from membership now AND they are not allowed to stand in Gurdwara elections, for obtaining future committee membership.
Also, we don’t want outside individuals or groups from other Gurdwaras trying to contest elections here, as the corrupt President XXXXX and his sidekicks are capable of giving their vote banks to such people, in order to maintain some control of the Gurdwara, as President XXXXX and his “Yes” men are extremely power-hungry, status-thirsty and recognition-starving.
Additionally, other Gurdwara committee’s haven’t supported us, over the past 4-month period, in which we have sent emails/texts to the management of two Gurdwaras in Leicester (XXXXX Gurdwara and XXXXX Gurdwara). Why should their representatives/members be allowed to stand in our Gurdwara elections in the future, when they didn’t help the congregation in their hour of need, to fight against the beadbi of langar and the anti-Sikh behaviour of our committee and Joginder?
The fact that the shameless President XXXXX hasn’t resigned after everything that has happened to date, demonstrates how obstinate and power-crazy he is, even at age 78+.
Over the past 4-6 weeks, he has childishly buried his head in the sand, hoping the congregation will give up any moment, which ISN’T going to happen.
If he doesn’t meet the 4 demands in the set timeframe, he will SERIOUSLY regret having done nothing between now and 2nd September 2016.
We make it clear that there will be no election for 5 years.
Either resign and dissolve the committee to make Mr. Malhi the next president for a 5-year term, or face the serious consequences as detailed below, which are all within the confines of the law.
c. Mr. Malhi is the only committee member who has supported the congregation.
As Mr. Malhi has been doing seva between 5pm and 8:30pm, over many years, he himself has witnessed the racist Joginder doing beadbi of langar, which he frequently reported to the president and other management committee members, but he was ignored in the same way that the congregation was ignored.
However, Mr. Malhi has always stood his ground and has had many confrontations with the incompetent president and other committee members, which proves that he is not a mindless “Yes” man, like everyone else.
Around the 10th August 2016, you victimised Mr. Malhi by changing the door lock to the committee office. He has had a set of keys to the office for many years, but because he openly stood up for the congregation and supported our petition, you changed the locks and refused to give him a key.
During that week, you also informed many congregation members that you had expelled Mr. Malhi from the Gurdwara’s management committee, because he supports the congregation’s petition and because he had openly asked you to remove Joginder from cooking and serving, after the video was uploaded onto YouTube.
d. Mr. Malhi accompanied XXXXX Singh on 4th July 2016, in the second meeting with President XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX and XXXXX, where he stood up for the congregation and told the committee that they were wrong to harass XXXXX Singh and more importantly, for keeping Joginder as a cook, by ignoring the congregation’s serious complaints and the video footage, yet the committee members laughed at him and the president egoistically said to Mr. Malhi and XXXXX Singh, “Do what you want, we don’t care, we’re not getting rid of Joginder”, which was said in Panjabi as follows, “Karlo jo karna, sanu ni farak penda, aseen Joginder nu nahi kadna”.
e. On Sunday 21st August 2016, between 12:30pm and 1pm, XXXXX approached Mr. Malhi and told him that President XXXXX wants to see him in the office. When Mr. Malhi entered the office, he observed that 5 committee members were present, including the president.
The president opened the conversation by trashing Mr. Malhi for continuously supporting the congregation’s online petition against the beadbi of langar and for condemning the committee’s decision to fully support and defend Joginder.
A heated exchange followed, after which committee member XXXXX said to Mr. Malhi, “Lets take this outside then”, before he got up and approached Mr. Malhi.
Anticipating that he could be attacked, Mr. Malhi stood up, when he was quickly grabbed by committee member XXXXX, who held him by the arms.
Mr. Malhi looked at the president and said, “Why don’t you do something about this?” but the impotent president said and did nothing. Then, unexpectedly, committee member XXXXX violently pushed Mr. Malhi on the chest, which caused him to lose balance and crash into a nearby chair, which hurt his abdomen.
Again, Mr. Malhi asked the president “How can you let them do this to me?” but the powerless president remained silent and didn’t intervene, after which, Mr. Malhi left the office. This incident has been reported to the Leicester Police and Mr. Malhi intends to press charges against the violent XXXXX.
In addition to supporting the congregation, Mr. Malhi has the fine personal qualities and leadership skills to clean up the mess that has been created by President XXXXX and his senseless sidekicks. A majority of the congregation at our Gurdwara already wants Mr. Malhi to become our next president.
The anti-Sikh president and his anti-Sikh committee are red-faced sore losers, who have harassed and victimised congregation members and committee member Mr. Malhi, for speaking up against racism and beadbi of langar at our Gurdwara.
We will not allow you to remain in power. You are finished.
Either you resign and dissolve the committee by 1pm on Friday 2nd September 2016, OR we will carry out the 3 irreversible and serious actions below, WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE.
In summary, by 1pm on Friday 2nd September 2016, you need to:
Place a notice on the Gurdwara’s main noticeboard, which clearly states the following 5 things:
1. President XXXXX has resigned from his post as president.
2. Councillor XXXXX has resigned from his position as a Local Councillor of the XXXXX and XXXXX ward.
3. All management committee members have resigned and the committee has been dissolved.
4. Joginder Singh has been permanently banned from the Guru Nanak Gurdwara (Leicester), using the exact text provided in point 3 above.
5. Mr. Surinder Singh Malhi will be the next president of the Guru Nanak Gurdwara, for the next 5 years and there will be no election to determine this.
THE 3 SERIOUS AND IRREVERSIBLE ACTIONS:
If the 4 demands are not met by 1pm on Friday 2nd September 2016, we will take the following 3 actions:
ACTION 1: LEAFLET DROP TO ALL XXXXX & XXXXX WARD RESIDENTS BETWEEN 5th SEPTEMBER 2016 AND 10th SEPTEMBER 2016.
1. We will distribute leaflets in the XXXXX and XXXXX ward between 5th September 2016 and 10th September 2016, which will inform all residents about Councillor XXXXX’s gross negligence in handling racism and anti-Sikh behaviour at our Gurdwara, establishing the fact that he has indirectly endorsed racism, meaning that he is morally and personally unfit to be a Local Councillor. The XXXXX and XXXXX ward includes over 5000 electors, who will all receive a copy of the leaflet.
We will evidence all of our claims and we will ask residents to read and sign our online petition AND to join us in peacefully protesting outside the Guru Nanak Gurdwara, starting on Sunday 11th September 2016 between 11am and 1pm and then EVERY Sunday, until the 4 demands are met.
The leaflet will be completely fact-based; hence Councillor will not be able to make a claim for defamation. For example, it is a fact that Councillor XXXXX is the president of Guru Nanak Gurdwara, where racism and anti-Sikh behaviour has been ignored by the management, as EVIDENCED by the Special Delivery letter they received on 5th April 2016, the online petition started on 23rd April 2016 with over 370 supporters and the YouTube video, which has been ignored over the past 8-week period. We will substantiate all claims.
We will emphasise the fact that Councillor XXXXX’s resignation, as a Local Councillor, is equally important as his resignation as president of our Gurdwara. Given that a person who doesn’t care about Whites, Blacks and Hindus, being racially discriminated against at his Gurdwara, is clearly unfit and unqualified to serve Whites, Blacks and Hindus in his ward, as a Local Councillor.
ACTION 2: WE WILL PUBLISH WEEKLY ADVERTS IN ‘LEICESTER MERCURY’ ABOUT OUR WEEKLY PROTESTS UNTIL ALL 4 DEMANDS ARE MET
2. Between 8th and 10th September 2016, we will place an advert in the ‘Leicester Mercury’, informing the residents of Leicestershire:
“It has been over 1 month, since we published our 3-page statement in the ‘Leicester Mercury’, yet our negligent management committee STILL hasn’t removed the racist illegal immigrant Joginder from cooking and serving food in the kitchen, hence we ask you to join us, to peacefully protest outside the Guru Nanak Gurdwara, starting on Sunday 11th September 2016 between 11am and 1pm. Free snacks and drinks will be provided to all who attend”.
This advert will be placed in the ‘Leicester Mercury’ EVERY week, with updates and protest photos from previous weeks, until ALL 4 demands are met.
On Sunday 11th September 2016 and every Sunday onwards, we will mainly protest outside the Gurdwara building and ALSO on the corner of Holy Bones and Vaughan Way, with banners such as “Ban racist Joginder”, “XXXXX out, Malhi in” and “Stop Racism at Gurdwara” etc.
Thousands of people drive past Holy Bones on Vaughan Way to get into the city centre via the John Lewis car park on Sundays. As shops open at 11am, they will clearly see that there is a Gurdwara and racism-related protest that is taking place, which will help our protest gain significant exposure. We will also hand out leaflets to people passing by at the traffic lights.
We will also invite Leicester’s homeless to protest with us and interview any individuals who have ben refused food and/or have been disrespected by Joginder at our Gurdwara. These interviews will be uploaded onto YouTube and linked to our online petition, enabling media channels to freely use them to publicise this serious issue, which you have foolishly ignored to date.
We will also invite the local media, mainstream national media (The Sun and Daily Mail), as well as, the Sikh, Panjabi and Indian media to protests, from 18th September 2016 onwards and we will send them photos and updates each week, for publication purposes, until ALL 4 demands are met.
We will regularly publish detailed statements in major Panjabi newspapers, with photographs of our protests, asking the UK-wide Sikh community to support us, by signing our petition and by attending future protests, until ALL 4 demands are met.
We have already published statements in the ‘Des Pardes Weekly’, the ‘Panjab Times’ and the ‘Mann Jitt Weekly’; therefore please do not underestimate the congregation’s ability to follow through with the above-mentioned plans.
ACTION 3: DETAILED INFORMATION ABOUT RACISM AND ANTI-SIKH BEHAVIOUR AT OUR GURDWARA WILL BE SHARED WITH THE WORLDWIDE SIKH COMMUNITY THROUGH PANJABI MEDIA CHANNELS AND THE PANJABI PRESS
3. We will inform the global Sikh and Panjabi community about ALL the serious issues mentioned in this letter, with irrefutable evidence, especially about the beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop in 2014 and the beadbi of langar over the past 1.5-years.
All the above-mentioned matters will be discussed, however, the fact that a Gurdwara committee has knowingly and shamelessly contributed towards the beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop and the beadbi of langar, will not be forgiven by the global Sikh community, we’re certain that you’re aware of that.
We will promote the serious issues by appearing on Sikh TV channels and via Panjabi radio shows, until ALL 4 demands are met. We will also ensure that this issue is reported in India, via newspapers like the ‘Daily Ajit’ and ‘Times of India’ etc.
We will also name and shame the president and committee members who have harassed and victimised congregation members and XXXXX for physically assaulting Mr. Malhi, for speaking up against racism and anti-Sikh behaviour at our Gurdwara, whilst fully evidencing our claims.
We have named and shamed Joginder in the recent newspaper statements. Likewise, we will also name and shame President XXXXX and committee members XXXXX, XXXXX, XXXXX, if you don’t do the right thing by Friday 2nd September 2016.
The congregation has had enough of being ignored, threatened, bullied, harassed and victimized for doing the right thing and for acting like Sikhs.
How dare you try to suppress our Sikh spirit by threatening and harassing us?
How dare you facilitate the beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop, beadbi of langar, beadbi of Gurdwara premises and misspend donation money?
Had you simply removed the racist Joginder from the kitchen in April 2016, things wouldn’t have escalated to this stage and we wouldn’t have asked for the committee to be dissolved, as there would have been no need for that.
On 4th July 2016, in the meeting with XXXXX Singh, the president had said “karlo jo karna…” (Do what you want…), which was directed to the congregation, as a whole.
We remind the president, that Sikhism teaches us that God resides within the congregation and that Guru Sahib’s congregation is an image of the Guru (Guru Roop Sangat).
By saying “karlo jo karna” to the congregation, the foolish, egoistic, high-headed, mindless and spiritually ignorant president, had actually said “karlo jo karna”, to God and Guru Sahib.
Between 3rd July 2016 and today, God and Guru Sahib has guided us to:
1. Publishing a 2-page statement in the ‘Des Pardes Weekly’ on 22nd July 2016, which refuted your pathetic public statement, published a week earlier.
2. Fully rebutting your public statement, using evidence, logic and reasoning, proving your dishonesty. Unbelievably, you still haven’t responded to our rebuttal, which speaks volumes about your position.
3. Submitting serious complaints to the Charity Commission on 1st August 2016, which have all been evidenced.
4. Publishing a 3-page statement in the ‘Leicester Mercury’ on 6th August 2016, which had circulation of circa 32,700 copies.
5. Publishing a 1-page Panjabi statement in the ‘Panjab Times’ on 11th August 2016, which has a readership of circa 300,000+.
6. Publishing a 1-page Panjabi statement in the ‘Mann Jitt Weekly’ on 17th August 2016, which has a circulation of 20,000.
If you do not meet ALL 4 demands by 1pm on Friday 2nd September 2016, we will immediately progress with taking the above-mentioned 3 serious and irreversible actions, WITHOUT ANY FURTHER NOTICE.
If God and Guru Sahib can guide us to taking the above-listed 6 actions, between 3rd July 2016 and today, what makes you think that we will hesitate in carrying out the 3 serious and irreversible actions, shortly after Friday 2nd September 2016? Do not underestimate the congregation, as you have done previously.
We are not bluffing or using pressure tactics.
ALL the evidence is against you and Joginder, so quit being so foolishly stubborn and meet ALL 4 demands by the deadline, otherwise you will experience ‘Guru di Maar’ on a greater scale, after which you’ll wish that you had listened to the congregation by way of this letter, before the 7-day deadline had expired.
We urge you to put your power-hungry egos and pigheadedness aside and deeply think about the consequences of the 3 serious and irreversible actions.
The power of Guru Sahib’s congregation is infinitely greater than your power-hungry and already battered and bruised egos.
If you care so much about your reputation/izzat in society, what will remain of it, after we execute the 3 serious and irreversible actions?
Do you think Guru Sahib will protect you, after you have facilitated beadbi of Guru Sahib’s Saroop, beadbi of langar, beadbi of Gurdwara premises, misused Golak funds and you’ve harassed Guru Sahib’s congregation and physically assaulted Mr. Malhi, for acting like Sikhs?
You have destroyed your credibility as a committee, why don’t you at least salvage your personal reputations, before its too late?
We are fine either way.
