Skatepark in our town

We are trying to get a concrete  skatepark in our local town at the Grove  park in lehighton pa for the younger generation. Our town has been overrun by drugs and overdoses on a daily basis. It's time to give the kids of our town a safe place to skate  and somewhere else for them to direct their energy instead of turning down a wrong path like so many of our youth of this town. It will keep the kids in a central area and make it easier for police to patrol. I have skated since I'm 13 years old and have watched towns not want to help the skateboarding community. Skateboarding is one of the fastest growing sports right now amd will be in the summer Olympics in 2020. It also has a lower injury rate than most contact sports. Insurance liability  issues wouldn't be a problem it would be covered by a standard recreation equipment policy. Please help our skater youth have a place to go just like all the other kids in sports do. We plan on having fundraisers as well as help apply for grants. We want the Grove to be a place where kids can go and not worry about drugs and heading down a wrong path and we also want to give back to the community. The group of skaters involved in this project will be cleaning the  entire grove on a weekly basis weather permitting and plan on organizing events to get the community involved again.
