Due to the Omicron variant surge, Lehigh County employees, who have previously been able to work from home, should have the option to work from home until the surge is over to prevent further spread of covid. 

In doing so, Lehigh County can take the initiative to reduce viral transmission to protect employees and their families, reduce employees anxiety and safety about contracting covid, and better serve the people of Lehigh County.

These measures will benefit the county as a whole by not using limited hospital and testing resources. Plus, healthy employees can be productive. Sick employees can’t work.
