It was not an option in my generation or my daughters and I think the idea is wonderful for all children.

I believe toys should emulate reality to a certain degree. The female population makes up 50% of the total, so it's only fitting and right that they toys they play with mimic the same reality.

To encourage young women to think of careers in all types of endeavors, and to give them play items that encourage them to think beyond the stereotypical roles that are just caring, nurturing roles.

I want my 5 year old daughter to have access to quality anti-bias toys. She loves Legos but feels sad when its so hard to find female or gender neutral minifigs. The friends dolls are not compatible pieces w/min figs. She thinks boy faces look mean and scary. I want her play to include being a doctor, rescue worker, or scientist. Please, Lego, give our girls a firm foundation in STEM.

I used to play with Legos when I was a kid. The characters back then were pretty much neutral back than, so it makes me sad that girls nowadays feel left out because almost all the playsets are geared towards boys.
