Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits employment discrimination based on race, sexual orientation, color or national origin by a private employer, state or local government, or educational institution with 15 or more employees for 20 or more weeks a year. We want this act to be changed to allow protection for all employees to prohibit discrimination based on race, sexual orientation, color, or national origin by a private sector. We want this protection, despite the number of employees at a private employer.
