Recently a surge of violent crimes agains men and women at the hands of door security staff has swept the post lock-down nation. There have been multiple deaths, injuries and sexual attacks carried out by people paid to protect people and with licenses paid for by the tax payer.  

This petition is to legally enforce all door staff to wear body cameras and microphones at all times to help protect both staff and customers from harm. With monthly reviews carried out by independent agencies that monitor the interactions, how situations are handled. This will prevent the few members of staff that encourage violence and make lewd and indecent remarks to women are caught and banned from future door work.  

 As things stand, not all bouncers need licences but anyone working as security on the door of a venue – be it a licensed pub, bar or club – does need one. As of this month, 90% of licensed pub, bar and club door staff are men. Licences are granted by the Security Industry Authority (SIA), a Home Office agency funded by the taxpayer. And, at present, it is entirely possible for an SIA licence-holder to have a history of committing violent or sexual crimes because this does not bar them from being granted a licence. 

With this being said a scheme to counter act this nationwide issue needs to start right now. It starts here with this petition, so please sign it and share it with you family and friends. Doing so, could be protect their lives.
