Armenia has cultivated a reputation for its envious vineyards and rich wine history. However, authorities there are yet to recognize the considerable benefits of legalizing cannabis. With the current global shift towards cannabis legalization, including 15 states in the U.S., it's evident that policy should change in Armenia as well.

In countries where cannabis has been legalized, tax revenues have significantly increased. In 2020, Colorado collected more than $387 million through marijuana taxes, licenses, and fees (source: Colorado Department of Revenue). Moreover, the legalization of cannabis has also contributed to job creation. In the U.S., the marijuana industry was responsible for creating over 321,000 full-time jobs in 2020 (source: Leafly's annual Cannabis Jobs Report).

Beyond economic benefits, cannabis also offers potential medicinal and therapeutic benefits. Scientists have found cannabis to be effective in treating chronic pain, nausea, mental disorders, and more (Source: National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine report, 2017).

Legalizing cannabis in Armenia would open up new avenues for commerce, therapeutics, and individual rights. Let's push for a revised policy. It's time for Armenia to join the global movement towards cannabis legalization. Please, sign the petition today.
