There are precious few places left in Leeds that people can access without having to pay for them. LCC seem determined that no-one should have these opportunities anymore; between destroying parks to create a cafe to squeeze more money out of the populace, and destroying or closing libraries, one of the very few places people can access for free. They’re showing their true colours. And people should watch out - I have no doubt that the real intention behind this is to sell at least part of the land to developers, just as they did when they closed Burley library.

The play area is just brilliant as it is and where it is - if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!
It would be hidden away in the other position and more vulnerable to vandalism

I have fond memories off visiting this park, particularly of the old steam engine and the umbrella ride when i was a child as a special treat with my parents.
Since then I have treasured memories of the days I have have spent on this park with my children and now it gives me more pleasure to see the smiles on the faces of my grandkids as they now start there memories for the future.
Please keep the park open as it is for there children and the next generation.

My grandchildren use the park every day, rain or shine, thanks to my daughter's diligence and care about the importance of children playing in the outdoors. This is extremely important for the wellbeing of children, both mental and physical. Please reconsider this decision again carefully.

It infuriates me that more and more is being taken away from those of us in society who are less fortunate. Since coronavirus became an issue, more seems to be geared towards car drivers (e.g. drive-thru testing centres, outdoor cinemas) or those who can afford expensive days out. I don't live near Pudsey Park but I took a trip there with my daughter and her dad a while back and have been meaning to visit again because it was a nice little park and the animals were interesting to see. I hope these proposals will be reconsidered. As it stands, they will help widen the gaps in society in a time when we should know better.

I live in Pudsey and one of the best things about it is our beautiful park. It’s for all age groups and completely free for all to enjoy.
