Postpone the workshop refurbishing until summer 2018 or extend module deadlines.

As you may have seen on CAGD, the workshop AND digital fabrication suite is set to be closed over the Christmas period up until the 8th of January (3rd years project deadline) for refurbishment to the flooring.
Lauren Moriarty, the head of product design, put forward in her feedback that we would like access to the workshop over Christmas, however this has been denied.
We NEED access to the workshop.
This closure will lead to overbooking and rushed, poor quality work, ruining the grades we have paid upwards of £27,000 to achieve.
We believe this refurbishment work should be delayed until summer break 2018, when the workshop is not needed by students or that all students requiring workshop access should be given an extension to their deadlines by an equal number of days to workshop closure.
It is not fair that we are paying upwards of £9000 per year and cannot access the facilities we require.
