Feb 3, 2014 — It seems to me that Lancaster County Attorney, Joe Kelly and Sarpy County Attorney, Lee Pokilov have different ideas of was is Just and punishable in the state of Nebraska.
A 73-year-old man was arrested Saturday night for what could lead to his 15th conviction for driving drunk, the Lancaster County sheriff said.
Deputies pulled over Lee Edward Collins around 11:20 at Northwest 12th and West Adams streets because he was stopped at a green light, and other drivers had to go around him, Sheriff Terry Wagner said.
Collins smelled of alcohol, Wagner said, and asked for help with a cut he’d gotten from a previous accident.
Deputies jailed Collins on suspicion of committing two felonies: driving on a suspended license and for felony driving under the influence.
Collins has been convicted of driving under the influence 14 times in the last half century, Wagner said.
He got his first in 1962 when he was 20 years old.
