This is open letter to the World Bank to reconsider the cancellation of Bisri Dam in Lebanon.

A considerable part of the project was paid for expropriations, which most of the money reached corrupt politicians in the Bisri area. These same politicians who supported the dam in the beginning now are opposing because they didn't win the transparent bidding process for constructing the dam. Don't leave 1.6 million resident in thirst for some corrupt politicians and puppet civil societies affiliated to them. Your project was perfectly designed, inspected by international experts and proven to be efficient for the people and the environment. The access to water is the sustainable development goal number 6, don't let corruption win the war against human rights.
