I have been working as an IT employee in India from past 6 plus years. Throughout my tenure I have worked under multiple projects and managers.

A general trend is that, the expectation for you is to be available 24*7, work and work untill you feel dead inside. Expected to join a project and start performing over the top from next day. Freshers being expected to work same as experience professionals. Leave requests being denied because managers are unable to manage a team.

I have seen people not getting leaves on their special day like engagement. My husband got only 3-4 days during our marriage. Employees please infront of managers for 1-2 days leave and still get it rejected. Sick Leaves getting denied people working from hospital. Specially the employees working in support projects are more affected by this.

Physical and mental health of employees are drained to an extreme level although companies promote mental health in social media platform but they do not care about their employees.
