Leave Saxon Time the Way it is

During the 2017-2018 school year, it is likely that saxon time will change (there still WILL be saxon time regardless). Suggested changes are creating an 8th period, having saxon time every other day, having a home room that you must remain in during the whole duration of saxon time, or others.
Most students dislike this change and would prefer to leave it as is, because there are many benefits to our current saxon time setup. Some of the perks that would be jeopardized if saxon time was changed are as follows...
-makeup work for varying classes/missed assignments/questions or additional help would be complicated to arrange
-if a student has more than one class to go to for saxon time, it would be hard to guarantee they receive a pass from every teacher
-some subjects, classes, and clubs have meetings during saxon time
-students would not be able to use the library for saxon time
-saxon service opportunities would be diminished
-many students get breakfast from the cafeteria during saxon time and would no longer be able to
-many students need the break to relax so they can be fully focused in class for the following 5 hours
-donut days would be harder to arrange
Students are used to the way saxon time is currently set up, changing it would only make Langley students' school days all the more challenging, as for we all already attend a very academically competitive school. I, along with many others, ask that we keep saxon time the same.
