We need to save this historical district!! Granary district is a historic neighborhood in downtown Salt Lake City. It was the first commercial district in Utah, and has been an important part of our city for over 150 years.

It is currently being threatened by a developer who wants to build an 8 story building that will completely change the character of this historic neighborhood. The proposed building would be taller than all other buildings in the area, and would block views of the mountains from Main Street. It will also be built right up against 300 South, which currently has no buildings on it (except for one small church). This will create traffic problems as well as safety issues for pedestrians who use that street every day.

The Granary District is a National Register Historic District with many beautiful old buildings that are over 100 years old! They should not be torn down or ruined by such a large structure being built so close to them! Please help us preserve our history and protect this wonderful neighborhood!
