Lease the Burnaby Centre for Mental Health & Addictions Until New Riverview is Built
0 have signed. Let’s get to 500!
The BC Liberals sold the Willingdon lands under the Burnaby Centre for Mental Health and Addictions to First Nations as part of a Land deal. There is a new building under construction at Riverview to replace those beds at a taxpayer cost of $176 million - net gain of only 11 beds. To make this clear, we are paying $176 million, for ELEVEN new beds.
We ask the Provincial government to arrange a fair and equitable deal with First Nations to lease back the land at Willingdon until such time that Riverview has enough facilities installed to address the crisis we are facing in our current health care system.
