Save Our Sports Hall (or build a new one)

In 2015 Bromsgrove Council took a decision not to incorporate the current sports hall or build a new one as part of the new leisure centre development.

The council assured us that Bromsgrove residents could use North Bromsgrove High School’s hall to accommodate as many sessions as possible. But despite their promises they have been unable to secure an agreement to use the hall.

This leaves Bromsgrove facing the situation where there is no sports hall that the public can access all year round.

A sports hall is important for offering a space where people of all ages can keep fit, participate in sports, socialise and have fun. It accommodates activities including soft play for the youngest toddlers, sports clubs for children and adults, wheelchair sports and badminton for all ages (from children to senior citizens).  No sports hall will be a huge loss to the community.

We therefore call on the leader of Bromsgrove Council to either refurbish the current sports hall or build a new one.
