LAX: get rid of the Chick-fil-A
A report came out recently that showed that Chick-fil-A is still bankrolling anti-LGBTQ causes.
Five years ago, they vowed to “treat every person with honor, dignity, and respect-regardless of their beliefs, race, creed, sexual orientation and gender.”
Guess what? It wasn’t true.
This report showed that it sent hundreds of thousands of dollars to anti-LGBTQ organizations in 2015.
Just recently, Chick-fil-A lost two airport deals in the last few weeks over this news. We have to keep the momentum going forward: if the Los Angeles International Airport - one of the most traveled through airports in the US - were to end its contract with the restaurant, that would encourage other airports to follow suit and make our voices heard that we won’t stand for hate-fueled chicken.
The Chick-fil-A foundation sent more than $1 million to the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which has a strong anti-LGBTQ message. “Homosexual activity” is strictly prohibited among staff and volunteers.
The Human Rights Campaign rates Chick-fil-A a zero on LGBTQ inclusive policies.
Not only did Chick-fil-A not live up to its promise to stay inclusive, but they are vehemently anti inclusion based on their donation record.
Send the message to LAX: get rid of Chick-fil-A now.
