The Lawrence High School student body is disheartened that our Board of Education is not willing to go through extraordinary lengths, and be open to exploring better ways to start virtual extracurriculars. Due to COVID-19, all in-school extracurriculars have been cancelled, however, it does not change the fact that extracurriculars are still vital and essential when applying to college. Many of us are entering our junior and senior years where extracurriculars really count, and it is disappointing to see that these opportunities are being stripped away from us and hindering our education. We are asking you to sign this petition to show the administration at Lawrence High School the importance of virtual extracurriculars in helping the student body grow and foster, not only as individual learners, but as a team.
