HELP STOP KNIFE CRIME AND SAVE LIVES AND OUR FUTURE. On the 3rd of February 2020 my brothers was involved in a serious knife attack in MAIDSTONE town centre in Kent. Of which one of them was rushed to Kings College Hospital in London fighting for his life. They stabbed him multiple times in the throat, luckily he has pulled through and has had 50 stitches. My other brother was stabbed in the face leaving him with injuries. The trauma they both have gone through can't be ignored. As a country we need to pull together and help save lives and bring in tougher laws around knife crime. So many family's have been put through such an horrific crime.. IT'S ABOUT TIME OUR STREETS ARE SAFER PLACE TO BE IN. WE NEED JUSTICE!! . At current the punishment for carrying a knife as a first time offender carries no minimum sentence and a one year maximum sentence. In order to counter act the rise of knife crime the law needs to be looked at and changed. I want the UK Government to make carrying a knife and knife crime possess a harsher sentence to deter at risk youths from putting their own and other lives at risk. Every 16 minutes a knife or a type of blade has been used in crime. Knife crime in England has leapt by as much as 90% in two years in some areas, according to new police data. Let's stop this together. Let's put an end to this and violence and build a safer community!
