There is also no reduced rate for lawyers who work part time. This is an access issue for members of the profession such as those with disabilities or parents of young children who may be more likely to work part time. It may contribute to these members of the profession leaving it altogether. A great deal of your earnings go towards your fees when you work only say 20 hours a month. Law pro has reduced rates for part time lawyers. The Law Society should have an equivalent rate reduction, especially if you are taking on social justice work.

Consideration needs to be given that the pandemic has affected lawyers as well. In addition, staffing at the LSO needs to be reconsidered. It is bloated.
