It has come to our concern that the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), has lacked in providing its students their proper safety. Many students will be entering school campuses while Los Angeles County continues to have a surge in Covid-19 infections.

It is also evident that the district has reduced the quarantine amount from 10 days to 5, which are putting students and their families at a higher risk. Not following proper protocol and insisting students to return to campuses is only putting lives at risk.

We are also acknowledging the new variants such as omicron and flurona, which can spread at a rapid pace.
