On April 18th, 2017 LAUSD voted to spend valuable resources and taxpayer money to support three bills that threaten our local schools. These aggressive power grabs would put too much power in the hands of bureaucrats and central administrators and strip power from parents, local principals and school leaders. To cite just one example, these proposed bills would give LAUSD the authority to shut down a school on a whim - even if it is a high performing school.
