I believe that women should have the rights to play football in middle school. It is not fair that we are being told to play only volleyball or soccer because football is a “boys sport”. I support taking a stand and changing our schools policies, and maybe more schools, to let middle school girls join or start a football team.

My friends and I live football and really want to play with the boys, but the teachers and coaches won’t let us because we are girls, not strong enough, etc. I understand that girls might not be as strong as boys in most situations, so if we can’t join the boys team then we want to start our own team! Women are strong enough to ply football, especially the ones who are going to risk taking a hit! We shouldn’t only be allowed to play “flag football” we want to get out there and play on the real team!

For centuries, women have been told what they can and can’t do. But, we are going to make that change and get women the right to play football! If we didn’t let women do anything then we wouldn’t have so many things, such as: computer algorithm! Without women we would have computer algorithm! A woman named Ada Lovelace wrote the first computer algorithm, without her we wouldn’t have ai or coding programs! Also, do you like to do the dishes? I didn’t think so, without women we wouldn’t have a dishwasher! But, the most important one is probably the ice cream maker! Did you know that made the ice cream maker before freezers were invented? Without women we wouldn’t have all of these things. Think of the great things that can come out of this change! 

Women deserve the right to play any sport that they want to. ✊�
