I’m pleading today for everyone to help me with my husband’s case. He is hospitalized and needs to be transported to Mexico for a lifesaving procedure and the hospital Banner Ocatillo in Chandler, AZ is not willing to allow a Mexican team of doctors to take him back to Mexico for treatment. My husband in critical condition due to COVID complications. His only option left at this moment is for him to be connected to an ECMO machine. ECMO is lifesaving machine that pumps and oxygenates a patient’s blood outside the body and thus allows the heart and lung to rest. This machine gives patients an opportunity to heal. His condition becomes more critical day by day. I pleaded and requested the Banner hospital to call other hospitals with ECMO capability to submit a request for my husband to be consider for that treatment, but all my request have been denied. Hospitals do not take request from patients/families, they only take request from the hospital and attending physician. No hospital with talk to me nor allow me to submit a request for my husband.  I decided to reach out to hospitals in Mexico and I was able to find a hospital with an available for ECMO machine. The Mexican hospital has agreed to come to the USA and connect my husband to the ECMO machine and transport him back to their hospital for treatment. When I finally saw a light on these very dark days Banner has decided not to allow the Mexican medical team to connect my husband to the ECMO machine in their hospital. I requested Banner then to allow of their doctors to connect my husband to the ECMO machine the Mexican medical team will bring, and that request was again denied. I was told it’s all about bureaucracy (Red Tape). I’m pleading for help please sing this petition and share it to bring light to my husband’s case. He is running out of time and Banner is willing to let my husband die. My prayers are with everyone who has suffer or is suffering something similar. I created a gofundme page for my husband since the medical costs in Mexico will need to be cover by the us. Any and all help is so much appreciated.
