Stop The Latrobe Trotters Track

With the closing of the Devonport Show Ground, trotters track and greyhound racing facility, Tas Racing is proposing to build a $20 million dollar racing complex using money from the government, Tas Racing and supporters between the Bass Highway near Anvers and Palmers Road, Latrobe, Tasmania.
Tas Racing said that “that trotting races will no longer be included as part of the Tasmanian Program from 1 October 2021” in the “Trotting to cease in Tasmania” article on https://tasracingcorporate.com.au/2021/04/01/trotting-to-cease-in-tasmania/ on the 1st of April 2021.
So, what has changed in 8 months?
How will the track benefit the community in anyway? It’s simple, it won’t. Imagine what $20 million dollars could do for the Latrobe Hospital or the education system in Latrobe these two areas specifically could do with money much more than an already dying industry and create more gambling issues in the state.
