The current start time for the great majority of schools in the Saint Louis Public Schools district is set to 7:15 AM, a time that goes against adolescent biology and causes risks that can be detrimental to every student's lives. 

The district has recognized that it is time for all schools in the SLPS region to take on the benefits from a later start time, and are currently reviewing a proposed plan to push back all start times to at least 8:00 AM. 

While there is a significant chance that the proposal will be approved, it is still subject to be heavily modified. Through this petition, we urge you to come together to pressure the SLPS board so that all choices done regarding the proposal are done in the best interest of the students, parents, and staff of the SLPS district.
